They are decent; but could be refurbished (some of them). 7" wide and 5-3/4" deep. A grille is at the top on the door. Behind this grille is a single gong ringer. These could be made to work with the same ease and also made into an older looking phone (separate tranmitters and receiver) with some ease. CCTR····················$99.00   5 @ $95 each. Deluxe parts are extra $25. They include 2 terminals for the top, 4 corner grommets, nameplate, door esc., directory hook and magnetic catch. This wood wall phone is a phone made by GTE Telephone in the early 70's, thus the rotary dial.  They labeled this Model 1000B, named the "Traditional". They were manufactured from top grade red oak and professionally finished to a satin finish. The stain is a rich brown color. These phones were not available to the general public as far as we know. Only promotional units were released GTE had considered making them for the public, but fire destroyed the wood working plant in the mid 70's. Only 200 available. It seems as if I saw an add some years ago (and probably still have it in my pilese somewhere) that this phone is a European Western Electric made in the middle teens just prior to when ITT bought out European Western Electric. The style of the wood walnut and transmitter arm-mount are quite similar to the U.S. Western electric Fiddleback. It is composed of two rigid brass tubes decoratively curved and hinged at the mount. It is made to adjust according to your heighth up or down.
